Thoughts of mine

These are my 100 % unfiltered thoughts and views, ment for people to read, and interact with. I'm happy to debate others thoughts on my thoughts in here. Point is, whatever I post in this blog of mine will be at a personal level. I hope to both inspire and teach by doing so, but I know I will also provoke some individuals. This comes with the territory, as I have experiences and philosophies unlike many sales reps, coaches, networkers and so on.

I have been involved in the sales and Network Marketing industry (aka MLM) since 1997. My experience on the other hand comes from a variety of backgrounds, starting as a farmer’s boy, where I learned about responsibilities and structure, most of all hard work. I grew up a happy kid, although my childhood was no ride on easy street. But I always remained positive, and from that I grew stronger throughout my battles of growing up. The result as I entered adulthood was the ability to expand my comfort zone, and the ability to adapt. I ran my first company in 1998, at the age of 26.

Businesswise, I have experience from different categories within sales, customer care, teamwork, recruiting, coaching and leadership. Both as an employee and as an employer, and with results to show for from all categories.

Over the years I have encountered numerous offers from individuals wanting to present some sort of "amazing opportunity." One of my sayings are: "Never turn down an offer without learning what it's about." Honestly, I do not always follow my own sayings... but most of the time I do. So when it comes to Network Marketing, I do not argue against the fact that this business, now being my business, has a bit of a shady reputation.

And here comes my first provocation: Even though some MLM companies are (in my honest opinion) CRAP, I wont ever accuse any specific company of being “a bad business”.

The company is rarely the “problem,” even companies with "bad products" have huge success . And if a company has success, then there must be people within it also having success. i.e., you can have success even within a system that promotes "crap".

My issue(s) therefore are , with people, with human beings.

People can represent a MLM company that is CRAP.

People can represent a MLM company that is GREAT.

But this does not matter to any next person in line, if the presenter of "the opportunity" has a moral obligation driven only by the urge for one single large commission, then leaving this person stranded at sea with a paddle (tool) so small it will take decades to reach shore.

In short, the Network Marketing industry itself does not deserve (most of) the bad critics it receives. Especially the companies that run an all through fair business. No, people deserve rotten critics.

So, if you or someone you know has encountered a Network Marketing offer, or if you yourself offer such offers, make no mistake when I say that I do not play “the Numbers Game”. I rarely speak about “Million Dollar prophesies”, and I never never ever ever present the opportunity that I offer, as a walk down easy street. But I do promote a potential, and a GREAT one.

My ethics are to lead by example, thus keeping the amount of people that give up to a bare minimum. In my opinion, too many give up in this industry, and statistically too few succeed. But it does not have to be like that, the key is not good but great leader/mentorship.

I therefore measure my success in what amount of success the people around me achieve, measured from their own personal goals. This should from now on be the first rule of any “sponsor” you meet, wanting to sign a contract with you.

I DO NOT offer a get rich quick money scheme, what I offer is work from which you can earn millions. But to reach such a level, you will have to be consistent and committed. Some people do get there, and I am happy to work alongside anyone matching, or exceeding my ambitions. I am also happy to work alongside any man or woman who’s ambitions are "just" earning some extra cash, gaining the opportunity to spend more time with loved ones, having the freedom to travel more, those simply wanting to be one’s own boss, and so on.

If you want the millions, these are the people you should tend too,

and tend to them well!
